Terms and Conditions

1. OUR OBLIGATIONS (As Holiday Happenings)
It is agreed that:
1.1 Holiday Happenings WILL promote your business and its deal/s using the following methods:
1.1.2 App Advertising (Ref to Section 4)
1.1.3 Booklet Advertising (Ref to Section 5)
1.2 Holiday Happenings MAY also choose to promote your business and its deal/s using the following additional methods:
1.2.1 Website Advertising. Which refers to the potential display of your business logo and/or deal information on the Holiday Happenings website.
1.2.2 Social Media Advertising. Which refers to the potential display of your business logo and/or deal information over any social media account (Facebook, Instagram etc) held by Holiday Happenings.
1.2.3 Email Advertising. Which refers to the potential display of your business logo and/or deal information in any promotional email sent from Holiday Happenings to its booklet readers and app users.
1.2.4 Word of Mouth Advertising. Which refers to the potential promotion of your deal/s by Holiday Happenings staff during their communication and interaction with the public.
1.3 Any promotional method used by Holiday Happenings will only consist of material and/or content that has been
pre-approved by your business.
1.4 Holiday Happenings will limit this “partner program opportunity” to no more than two
“competing businesses” who offer deals on the same (or similar) products, goods or services.
1.4.1 To ensure “value and appeal” remains high for parents across all areas
of the ACT region, Holiday Happenings reserves the right to implement this
limitation in any one of the following two ways:
Across “the whole ACT region”.
Across “each region (5) within the ACT”.
Note: In many business categories, Holiday Happenings will support and partner only 1 business.
2.1 It is agreed that all obligations mentioned in Section 1 will be provided to your business FREE OF CHARGE as part of this partner program.
3.1 Your business will remain a Holiday Happenings Partner until either party ends the relationship. (Ref to Section 11 - Withdrawing as a Partner).
4. APP ADVERTISING
As a partner, one dedicated listing on the Holiday Happenings App will be created for your business (App is currently for iPhone & iPad ONLY).
4.1 Your listings will contain the following:
4.1.1 An image of your Logo
4.1.2 A business description (up to 70 words)
4.1.3 Address of store location/s
4.1.4 Opening hours
4.1.5 Business contact number, email and website address
4.1.6 A description of the deal/s being offered along with any conditions associated with each deal.
4.1.7 A set of redemption instruction for users to follow.
4.2 Your listings will be available for user viewing at least 5 weeks prior to each school holiday period and for at least 2 weeks after the school holiday period concludes.
NOTE: Deals only need to be valid for the length of the ACT School Holiday Period. (Ref to Section 7.3 for ACT school holiday periods) Deals can be offered for longer periods if preferred or required (Ref Section 6.1.6).
4.3 Your business will also be promoted through App notifications that will be sent to all signed in users of the Holiday Happenings App.
4.4 App notifications will be sent during:
4.4.1 The 4 weeks leading up to each ACT school holiday period.
4.4.2 Each ACT school holiday period itself.
4.5 Your business WILL be included in at least one notification during the time period outlined above in Section 4.4.
4.5.1 Notifications will include a group of business names and a small message prompting users to view the app for more information on their deals.
4.6 Holiday Happenings MAY also choose to send app notifications with more specific information about particular partner deals. When doing so, Holiday Happenings will choose deals that represent the most value and appeal for its users.
5. BOOKLET ADVERTISING
As a partner, you will receive advertising in our print and digital booklets.
5.1 Booklet advertising WILL include the display of your business logo and indicate that you are offering a deal on the Holiday Happenings App.
5.2 Booklet advertising will appear on the “back page” or the “inside of the back page” in all:
5.2.1 Print Booklets (currently 38,000 copies per quarter)
5.2.2 Digital Booklets (currently 2,500 - 4,000 views per quarter)
5.3 Holiday Happenings MAY also choose to promote more specific information about particular partner deals throughout its booklets. When doing so, Holiday Happenings will choose deals that represent the most value and appeal for its readers.
6. APP LISTING FLEXIBILITY
6.1 As a partner, your business has the flexibility to:
6.1.1 Change or update your deal information at anytime (Ref to Section 7.4).
Note: Simply contact Holiday Happenings for any changes.
6.1.2 Add new deals at anytime.
6.1.3 List up to 4 separate deals at any one time.
6.1.4 Limit the number of times a 2nd, 3rd or 4th listed deal will be made available. (e.g. first 10 users only).
Note: This is not available if you have only ONE listed deal.
6.1.5 Provide customised terms and conditions for each individual deal (up to 70 words).
6.1.6 Extend and customise the period each deal is valid for (Ref to Section 7.3).
7. YOUR OBLIGATIONS (As a Partner Business)
In return for the free advertising and exposure Holiday Happenings is providing your business, it is agreed that:
7.1 At least one deal will be provided for premium users of the Holiday Happenings App during each of the ACT school holiday periods. (Ref to Section 8)
7.2 All deals will provide “good value and appeal” for potential users.
7.3 Deals will be made available for at least the full duration of an upcoming ACT school holiday period:
- Autumn Holidays: 2 weeks (April)
- Winter Holidays: 2 weeks (July)
- Spring Holidays: 2 weeks (Sept/Oct)
- Summer Holiday: 6 weeks (Dec/Jan)
7.4 Your business is solely responsible for providing Holiday Happenings App users with any advertised deal that is successfully accessed/activated (and still valid) from your App listing.
NOTE: If you change or update a deal after a user accesses/activates it, as long as the original deal is still valid, you will be responsible for honouring the original deal with the user.
8. LISTING OF DEALS
Your business has three base options for listing deals across the four school holiday periods in a calendar year (Ref to Section 7.3 for holiday periods). To increase the potential for repeat user interaction with your business, in most cases we recommend options A and B. Holiday Happenings is happy to discuss variations of these options.
8.1 Option A: One (1) deal available four (4) times.
8.1.1 Choose to have the same one (1) deal active during each school holiday period throughout the year.
8.1.2 Users will have four (4) separate opportunities to redeem this deal. One (1) opportunity during each of the four (4) school holiday periods.
8.2 Option B: Four (4) deals, each available one (1) time.
8.2.1 Choose to have a different deal active during each school holiday period throughout the year.
8.2.2 During each of the four (4) school holiday periods, users will have one (1) opportunity to redeem the particular deal on offer.
8.3 Option C: One (1) deal available one (1) time.
8.3.1 Choose to have the same one (1) deal active during each school holiday period throughout the year.
8.3.2 During the year, users will have only one (1) opportunity to redeem this deal.
8.4 Once a new schooling year begins, the option your business has chosen to list its deals will restart.
8.5 If your business is joining this Partner Program with less than four (4) school holiday periods remaining in the year, option A & B above will be adjusted accordingly.
NOTE: You are welcome to have up to four (4) deals active at any one time (Ref Section 6.1.3) and list these deals using any mix of the options given above. You also have the flexibility to extend the period a deal is valid for (eg an extra 2 weeks that lead into a holiday period - Ref Section 6.1.6).

10. USER INFORMATION
11. WITHDRAWING AS A PARTNER
11.1 Your business can withdraw as a Holiday Happenings Partner at any stage “outside” the ACT school holiday periods. To make this request simply contact Holiday Happenings (ref to Section 7.3 for school holiday periods).
11.2 Holiday Happenings MAY withdraw your business as a partner if we feel there is insufficient “value and appeal” which has lead to poor “user interaction” with your listed deal/s.
11.2.1 An attempt will always be made to work with you on this matter prior to Holiday Happenings withdrawing your business as a partner.
Any participation in the Holiday Happenings Partner Program will constitute acceptance of all the terms and conditions listed above.
Holiday Happenings reserves the right to change these terms and conditions, however will always inform your business of any changes prior to them taking effect.
